In this episode of the Arts & Entertainment Report, host Michael Sprouse drops by Stingray Sushi Bar + Asian Latino Grill in Rehoboth Beach to join friends at "Natasha's Salon For Creative Minds".
For more than twenty years, arts patron Natasha Reatig hosted a weekly salon in a jazz club in the Adams Morgan section of Washington, DC that became an epicenter of the arts community. Visual artists, musicians, writers, film makers, photographers and more would meet and network over cocktails and jazz strengthening not only the arts community in Washington, but also creating lasting friendships and professional connections between kindred and creative spirits.
After retiring from her active life in DC to a family home in Bethany Beach several years ago, Natasha, along with her close friend Sydney Arzt (one of the original founders of the still flourishing Rehoboth Beach Jazz Festival and owner of the acclaimed jazz club Sydney's in Rehoboth for twenty years) recreated the salon four years ago in Rehoboth as an off-season opportunity for arts professionals and enthusiasts to once again mix and mingle in celebration of their shared passion, meet new friends and create artistically inspired partnerships.
