In 1937 the Georgetown Fire Department established an annual fund-raising effort known as the Oyster Eat. Hundreds gather here each February to enjoy the food and fellowship of the event, which has been recognized by the United States Congress for its historical and cultural significance.

Ladies come have a night of shrimp, beer, music, & fun! Friday February 23rd is the night for the Lewes Fire Departments 27th Ladies Only Shrimp Feast. Tickets are available at our main station @ 347 Savannah Rd, you may call 302-645-6556 for more info. There will be plenty of shrimp, soup, sandwiches, & beer. We will have cash drawings, as well as raffles for jewelry from Park Place Jewelers, and gift baskets with great items. SO get your group together and plan for another great Friday night!

On February 25, the Peninsula Community Church will host a First Responders Sunday at 10:00 AM. Join us as we honor our first responders (police, firefighters, EMT, and Paramedics). In the service, all first responders will be recognized and honored for their service to our community. A light lunch will be served after the service.
