(Salisbury, Md) - A Salisbury man has been convicted on drug and gun charges. Tyler Easley was found guilty of Possession with the Intent to Distribute Heroin, Possession with the Intent to Distribute Marijuana and Possession of a Firearm in Connection with Drug Trafficking.
On June 3, 2016, members of the Wicomico County Narcotics Task Force executed search and seizure warrants on Easley's vehicle and residence. Upon execution of the warrants, officers located more than 90 grams of heroin, a large amount of marijuana and a .40 caliber pistol which contained live rounds of ammunition.
Tyler was sentenced by a Wicomico County Circuit Court Judge to 30 years in Prison, with all but 15 years suspended, and 5 of those years being a minimum mandatory sentence with limited possibility of parole.
Wicomico County State's Attorney, Ella M. Disharoon, commended the Wicomico County Narcotics Task Force, the Drug Enforcement Administration, the Maryland State Police, and the Wicomico County Sheriff's Office for their work in the investigation and prosecution of this case. Mrs. Disharoon also thanked Deputy State's Attorney Patrizia J. Coletta who prosecuted the case.
