Doggy Ice Cream Bar & Bakery Opens in Rehoboth Beach

Episode Date: July 16, 2018

(REHOBOTH BEACH, Del.) - Hot summer days are perfect for some ice cream, and now pets can safely enjoy the tasty treat, too.

“Salty Paws” is a new healthy alternative ice cream shop just for pets. It’s located off Rehoboth Avenue next to Arena’s.

Owner Suzanne Tretowicz says the ice cream is made with goats milk or yogurt and it has no added sugar. It’s then topped with your pup’s choice of dehydrated meats.

"We feel like dogs should have the beach experience, too,” said Tretowicz. “Year after year of watching them eat ice cream cones on the boardwalk knowing how unhealthy they are with the added sugar, we thought we'd give them a healthy alternative."

Tretowicz, who also owns All Dried Out in Rehoboth Beach, says the company manufactures their ingredients out of Pennsylvania.

The ice cream bar and bakery also offers ice cream for humans, too. It’s open every day between 9 a.m. and 10 p.m.
