(REHOBOTH BEACH, DE.) -January is big membership month at the Rehoboth Beach YMCA as some are working on completing their New Year's Resolution.
Lynn Thompson has made her New Year's Resolution this year.
"I like to exercise and I am looking forward to more exercise and more Zumba and more weight training and become a sculptured six-year-old," said Thompson.
Dancing is a good way to burn calories and many at the YMCA are trying to live a healthier style.Their instructor Cynthia Beaver is leading them through the movements with a Zumba class.
"It is a latin based style and the other thing it does is probably 5,000 to 6,000 steps in an hours class. We keep moving and don't stop.We start and finish and it is a one hour class," said Beaver.
One stroke at a time as most are trying to get in better shape like Katlin Goodwin.
"So I decided to start a swimming routine not only for my physical health but to help with my mental health and I have found that swimming is a great way to decompress when I get off work," said Goodwin.
There are more than 20 aquatic classes that the members can take part in at the Rehoboth YMCA and they can meet a lot of people.
