(Ocean City, MD.)- The Ocean City Seaside boat show is featuring more than 300 boats and plenty of watercrafts for the people to check out this weekend.
The Ocean City-Berlin Optimist club has put on this event for now 35 years
and once again this year Charles Smith is the publicity chair.
"This show has anything that the people are looking for that relates to the water," said Smith.
The boat show will attract about 13,000 people to the Ocean City Convention Center. There are 50 dealers and 15 vendors including booths selling beef jerky, White Marlin T-shirts and fishing artwork.
Also, the crowd could stop by the Boy Scouts Of America Ocean City Troop 261 Troop.They could buy some raffle tickets from Boy Scout Court Leinemann.It is the Ocean City Boy Scouts biggest fundraiser of the year and allows them to buy what the need.
"All of our necessary equipment, our tents and cooking gear and without it we cannot do much for our troop," said Lienemann. "This is how we make our money."
This show is also the biggest fundraiser for the Optimist Club.
Smith said all the money they receive will go to their different programs.
"We work with Ocean City and Ocean Pines and we just got a letter from Ocean City and alone 22 different team or activities and Ocean Pines that is close and Berlin youth football and we like to have that money for those kids," said Smith.
The Club has helped raise $1.8 million dollars for scholarships.
