(LEWES, Del.) - The Morley-Robinson family has a big reunion with Lindsay Short. Lindsay is a registrar worker at Beebe Health Care, who knew exactly what to do in a crisis situation.
It all happened on February 16. Saying it was a rough day for the Morley-Robinson Family would be an understatement.
"I checked in because I wasn't feeling too good," says Stephanie Robinson, who went to Beebe Health Care for Flu symptoms.
While Stephanie was at the hospital, her sister Kaitlynn got into a car accident.
"The next thing I know, I wake up and we're rolling," she tells WRDE.
Stephanie gave her mom a call when she heard about the accident. And while on the phone-her mom stopped talking. Stephanie started panicking. Lindsay saw she was crying and asked what was going on. Then, she picked up the phone and send help to Teresa's home.
Teresa is prone to seizures and had just been in the hospital for one the day before.
"I felt myself going into a seizure but I couldn't articulate what was going on," she said during an interview with WRDE.
In addition to sending help to Teresa, Lindsay also kept her daughter Stephanie calm.
"I just want to say thank you to Lindsay for everything she's done, she's awesome," said Stephanie.
Beebe gave Lindsay the Celebrating Excellent Care Award for her Good Work
Teresa said Lindsay has given her a lifetime with her kids and grandkids, and add, "I'll be forever indebted to her."
