(Dover, Del) - The Delaware Senate rejected the proposed Equal Rights Amendment to the state Constitution. The vote on Wednesday, May 9, 2018, means the bill is dead for this session. An Amendment to the Constitution must pass both houses of the legislature in two consecutive legislative sessions. A session is a two year period. The next session begins in January 2019 after the November elections.
