Denton man arrested for Sexually abusing a minor

(Denton, Md) - A Denton man has been arrested for sexual abuse of a minor. Maryland State Police arrested Bruce Wayne Carlisle Thursday morning, June 7, 2018. He is charged with sex abuse of a minor, sex abuse of a minor continuing course of conduct, sexual solicitation of a minor, sex offense in the second, third and fourth degree, and assault second degree.
The investigation began in May 2018 when Maryland State Police CED investigators received information about Carlisle having sexual contact with a minor who was 11 years old at the time of the events. Detectives interviewed individuals, gathered evidence and determined the offenses took place over a period of two years. Through the investigation, it was found that Carlisle was currently a registered sex offender in the State of Maryland for a prior sexual offense conviction involving a minor.
The Maryland State Police Criminal Enforcement Division, Upper Shore Region, is comprised of investigators assigned to the region. The region consists of Kent, Queen Anne's, Talbot, Caroline and Dorchester Counties. Troopers assigned to the unit investigate the most serious and/or time-consuming crimes while also providing investigative support to allied agencies in and throughout this area.
