(Salisbury, MD.) - For the time in 30 years, former Salisbury Basketball Coach is not doing what he loves. Andrew Sachs was the men's coach for three years but is no longer at the helm. The University issued a statement and will not return as the men's basketball coach.

"They chose to send out the release out and we were supposed to have a mutually agreed on the statement and I think it was a surprise to the players and the players were upset it was on twitter and they were never told and it has been tough for my family and we had expected to be here for a very long time and be a part of the community for a long time,"said Coach Sachs.

Coach Sachs has been receiving support from the community.

"An unexpected amount of support we have gotten and the players have been a big part of it but the community support has been humbling," said Coach Sachs.

Sachs said he is trying to move on from being let go. He would like to stay on Delmarva for a long time if possible.
