(GREENWOOD, Del.) - Spring trout season opens this Saturday at 7 a.m. A popular place for anglers to cast their lines is Newton Pond near Greenwood.

The Delaware Department of Natural Resources and Environmental Control (DNREC) says trout will be stocked this week, so there will be plenty of trout for anglers to catch on opening day.

The exact adress for Newton Pond is 13125 Hunters Cove Road, Greenwood, DE 19950.

DNREC will also be stocking Tidbury Pond, which sits south of Dover.

For more information, DNREC says to call their Division of Fish & Wildlife's Fisheries Section at 302-739-9914.
