At 10 a.m. the crowd filed out of Camp Rehoboth and made way to the beach for a ceremony. Breast cancer survivors lead the way.
Event Co-Chair Kathy Wiz says she started the event in honor of her sister. "My sister was diagnosed with breast cancer 10 years ago and I wanted to honor her and other survivors, I wanted to remember those that did not survive cancer and I wanted to educate others," she explains.
The event is free, but all donations go towards the delaware breast cancer coalition. Over $75,000 has been raised since it started.
