"Trying To Reason With Hurricane Season" is not only the title of a Jimmy Buffett song it is also a call to action for the communities at or near Delmarva's beaches.  The 2019 Atlantic hurricane season runs from June to November.  The Wicomico County Department of Emergency Services released its list of recommendations for a household emergency kit to deal with a potential hurricane.

- Have one gallon of drinking water each day for each person in the home
- At least three days of non-perishable food for each person in the home
- Battery powered radio
- Flashlight and extra batteries
- First Aid kit

The National Weather Service is predicting there will be 14 named storms during this season.  Seven of those are expected to form into hurricanes and three of the seven greater than a Category two. In 2018, there were eight storms that eventually evolved into a hurricane.  Two were classified as greater than a Category 2.
