(Lewes, DE.)-The Cape Henlopen Vikings girl's soccer team are off to a good start at 2-0.
Their Coach Patrick Kilby has high expectations for his team.He has 10 returning starters and knows that experience matters.

"We return our starting goalie from last year Lucy Siranides and she started as a freshman and she is starting as a sophomore," said Coach Kilby. "She keeps getting better and better. We also return our midfielder, Lindsey Swontek.

Swontek said it is a big advantage to be able to play with so many from last year's team.

"Because already most of us know how to play with one another and the preseason was to polish us up," said Swontek.

Chemistry could help the team accomplish their ultimate goal and do something the program has not done in years.

"I don't think the girl's program has made the state tournament in ten years so for us to accomplish that goal that would be a really good thing for us I believe,"Coach Kilby.

In practice, the Lady's Vikings are focusing on getting better in certain areas.

"Speed of play and how fast can we move the ball", said Coach Kilby.

Coach Kilby said he is stressing a positive attitude and an all in mentality if they hope to reach their goals.
