(Georgetown Del) - Nathan Quillin is continuing to move up in the Sussex Tech record books. Quillin is the school's all-time leader in assists and points and just broke the record in goals scored.

"I was pretty happy when I broke it and I was honored to have it but I was more than honored to have to live up to Jason Whaley and Coach Fluharty who had the points record and who is one of our offensive coaches here now," said Quillin.

Quillin has been passionate about the game since he picked up a stick at age 8.
His father Mark Quillin who is one of his coaches has been the biggest influence in his life.

"He made me use my left hand when I was little and would get so mad at him but it made me better and now I can use both my hands," said Quillin.

To get better Nathan practices year round. Besides, working hard on the field. He also is committed to excelling in the classroom. He said being a student-athlete is a struggle but the student always come before the duties of an athlete.

"You have to plan out everything out in the day when you are playing in season because you have school to 3 O'Clock, practice to 6 and you have to get home and eat dinner and then you have three hours to get your homework done and hopefully by the end of the night you have some extra time to relax,"said Quillin.

After Nathan graduates, he will play in college for the Division II school Lenoir-Rhyne in Hickory, North Carolina.
