(GEORGETOWN, Del.) -Legendary Coach Curtis Brock is finally calling it a career at Del Tech Community College. He picked up 695 wins at the College.
"I figured after 30 years that it is enough time to be at one place and it has been a great career for me and I have had a lot of experiences their meeting different players from players around the country like that and nice families and nice folks and things like that and it is an honor to be able to coach young me and see them grow,"said Brock.
One of Coach Brock's most memorable achievements is winning the Junior College World Series in 2001.
"It is something that they cannot take away from you and it brings back a lot of memories and things like that and I was lucky enough to have my youngest son on the team at that time and I had my nephew on that team so it was a lot of fun to have family on the team,"said Brock.
His son Todd is the baseball coach at Sussex Central. Todd said his father is a big reason why he is a coach today and said his father was a great influence.
"Just putting the team above anything and it is not about an individual it is just team first," said Todd Brock.
With this added free time Coach Brock plans to attend more of his son's game.
