(LEWES, Del.) -Carrie Lingo played field hockey at Cape Henlopen High School and also at the University of North Carolina. She ended up with a 12-year career with the U.S. National Team. Lingo was on the 2008 Olympic team and represented the U.S. in the World Cup in 2002 and 2006. She was part of two silver medal teams (2007 and 2013) at the Pan American Games.
These days the former Olympian Lingo is a real estate agent at Lingo Realty. Lingo said there are similarities between playing field hockey and selling homes. At Lingo Realty she started a real estate team.
"It is all about communication, working as a team, and coordinating," said Lingo.
Lingo still has a passion for field hockey as she started Elite Connection, LLC with Kate Barber Kinnear ten years ago. The purpose is to teach, develop, and improve all hockey players and athletes.
Now Lingo is running a field hockey camp at Cape Henlopen High School where she teaches young kids the skills she learned while at the Olympics. The camp will wrap-up in early August.
