(ROXANNA, Del.) -Years after leading her team to a softball title, Regan Green was back at the Senior League Softball World Series but this time as a spectator.
"It is exciting to be back at the Little League World Series and to realize that other people are trying to accomplish something that is much greater than themselves and it about being a team and working hard together," said Green.
Green was getting to view the host District III Georgetown as ace Taylor Wroten was pitching. Green said this experience for the host team and the other teams is awesome. She said playing softball can give them opportunities that would that they would not have had.
"Softball has changed my life and I mean I have gone to different countries with softball that I would not be able to do and it has taught me life lessons and it has given me friends I would have never had and led me places," said Green."It has helped me grow up as a player and I am so thankful for it.
This year is her final one at Baylor University where she will be one of the starting pitchers. Green started her collegiate career at Mississippi State but transferred to Baylor University.
"I loved the coaches and what they stood for and it is a Christian School and it is a great academic school and the softball is great," said Green.
