(LEWES, Del.) -The new man in charge of the Cape Vikings Football team is J.D. Maull.
The former St. Georges Tech football coach wants to bring a more aggressive nature to the team.

"We are going to be physical, we are going to be disciplined, and get after it on both offense and defense," said Maull.

Senior Patrick Tkach said the practices are a lot different from last year.

"It is a lot more intense, physical, and you have to love it is it football," said Tkach

The biggest change may be coming on the offensive side of the ball. The wing-T offense is out and coach Maull is bringing a new scheme to the squad.

"I have been a power scheme person since high school when George Glenn was my coach and I have taken a lot of his ideas from him and other college coaches,"said Maull.

Senior Johah Robertson loves coach Maull's never give up attitude.

"He brings that dog mentality and we are going to run the ball down your throat and we will beat the snot out of you on defense," said Robertson.

Robertson and his teammates will begin the season on Friday, September 7th when they play the defending Division II State Champions Delmar Wildcats. The game starts at 7:30 PM.
