One Injured, One At Large in Salisbury Stabbing
On January 10, 2016, Salisbury Police Officers and Detectives responded to the 400 block of E. Locust Street for a reported stabbing.
Locust Street resident Phillip Jeandell said "Two guys were out here on the sidewalk last night and they were arguing and one guy pulled a knife on the other one and the cops came"
Preliminary investigation revealed that the suspect and a 45 year-old male victim had been engaged in a verbal argument that quickly turned physical. The suspect produced a knife and stabbed the victim one time in the throat, and then fled the scene on foot prior to the officers' arrival. The victim was transported to Peninsula Regional Medical Center, where he is being treated for serious but non-life threatening injuries as a result of the stab wound.
The suspect was identified as Orlando Christopher Tilghman, 51, of Salisbury, Maryland. An arrest warrant was issued for Tilghman during the late evening hours on January 10, 2016, charging him with attempted 1st degree murder, attempted 2nd degree murder, assault 1st degree, assault 2nd degree, possession of a dangerous weapon and reckless endangerment. Tilghman should be considered armed and dangerous.
