(BALTIMORE, Md.)- A Maryland man known for visiting sick children dressed as Batman died Sunday night after he was struck by his own Batmobile.

Lenny Robinson had engine trouble and had pulled over. Sunday, Robinson was on the highway in his Lamborghini when it broke down, according to police.

He pulled the car to the left shoulder, but part of the car was still sitting in the fast lane.

A Toyota Camry hit the Lamborghini which then struck Robinson. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

He became a regional celebrity three years ago when police pulled him over while he was in costume, and the whole thing was captured by a police dash cam.
