(SALISBURY, Md.)- Deputies are investigating an apparent hostage incident near Salisbury.

On Tuesday, June 16, 2015 at approximately 6:00p.m., the Wicomico County Sheriff's Office received an emergency call for service to the area of Old Ocean City Rd., and Keyes Lane, Salisbury, Wicomico County to investigate a reported abduction.

No one was present at the home of Harry Jones when WRDE went knocking.

Jones is facing a slew of charges after authorities say he allegedly held an unidentified woman against her will.

It allegedly went on from Saturday, June 13, 2015 until Tuesday, when the woman allegedly escaped.

"He's kind of quiet, sneaky," said neighbor, Frances White. "You got to watch him. He keeps his eyes on a lot of stuff."

"He was just an odd person," said another neighbor.

And if there were cries for help, they've could have easily gone unnoticed since many of the homes in this road are vacant or abandoned.

Neighbor, Dan Carter owns the property next to where Jones lives.

He says he didn't hear a thing.

"When I pulled up all I saw was the cops putting handcuffs on him and putting him in the car," said Carter.

Responding deputies met with the injured 37 year old female victim who alleged they had been held against their will at a residence on Keyes Lane.

The victim identified the suspect as Harry Solomon Jones, 59, of 6729 Keyes Lane, Salisbury, Wicomico County. Harry Jones was located by Sheriff's Deputies a short time later and taken into custody.

The Wicomico Bureau of Investigation was requested to respond to further the matter.

Investigators spoke with the victim and learned during her term of imprisonment her movement was restrained and she was physically and sexually assaulted by her attacker. The victim was able to escape the residence, and fled to Old Ocean City Rd., for help where she was located by a citizen who assisted in contacting police. The victim said she had been detained in the residence since Saturday, June 13, 2015.

The victim was transported to Peninsula Regional Medical Center where she was treated and released.

Investigators have executed a search and seizure warrant at the residence of Harry Solomon Jones and discovered evidence which corroborates the facts provided by the victim. Harry Jones has been charged with multiple offenses related to this incident.

This investigation was assisted by the Wicomico Bureau of Investigation, Wicomico County Sheriff's Office, Maryland State Police, and the Wicomico County State's Attorney Office.
