(DELMAR, Md.)- Imagine waking up to a fire, then realizing the person who police say is responsible-- is your landlord.

That's what happened to a family in Delmar, Maryland. A Seaford man is accused of setting his tenants' home on fire while they were inside, now he's entered an Alford Plea to 1st Degree Arson.

Andy Modeste, 45, of Seaford, entered the Alford Plea this week after facing attempted murder and arson for the May 2013 fire.

Authorities say he set the fire in a crawl space of the home while Eduardo Machado and his family slept. Fortunately, no one was hurt.

Modeste was sentenced to five years in prison.
