Cannery Village Could Soon Expand
The applicant, Chestnut Properties II, LLC has requested preliminary site plan review for phase IV of Cannery Village. The plans are for a proposed subdivision on the properties located at the northeasterly corner of the intersection of Cave neck Road and Front street in Milton.
The project coordinator says that the site was actually approved back in 2004 and that going before the town and the public is the next step. The project coordinator also says these plans involve constructing an additional 117 units. He says that of course more housing tends to create more traffic, but traffic studies have been conducted.
Those studies will be presented at Tuesday's hearing as well. The hearing takes place at 6:30 p.m. in the Milton Public Library.
Once the preliminary site plans are approved planning and zoning can begin working on the final site plans. They will of course be discussing them with outside agencies that would be impacted.
