(REHOBOTH BEACH, Del.) - Delaware State Police have arrested the suspect in connection with a robbery in Rehoboth Beach.

Police say just before 5 p.m. on March 1st, 29-year-old Christopher Boone of Rehoboth Beach assaulted a 23-year-old male in the Unit Block of Pebble Road and stole his money and cellphone. Police say the victim sustained non-life threatening injuries and was taken to a nearby hospital.

On Monday police saw Boone traveling in a vehicle in Milford, conducted a traffic stop, and took him into custody without incident.

Boone was taken to Troop 4 in Georgetown, where he would be charged with first-degree robbery, first-degree assault, possession of a deadly weapoin during the commission of a felony, and second-degree conspiracy.

Boone has been committed to the Sussex Correctional Institution on $72,000 secured bond.
