(DAGSBORO, Del.) - Police were stationed at Indian River High School on Tuesday after a social media post made them aware of a potential school shooting threat.

Indian River School District and Delaware State Police both tell WRDE that they don't believe there to have been a credible threat.

"Rumors of an alleged incident at Indian River High School on Tuesday are being investigated by the Delaware State Police. We do not believe there is any credible threat to the school at this time but the investigation is ongoing. The school day will proceed as normal. However, as a precautionary measure, additional police officers will be stationed at the school today," Indian River School District tells WRDE in a statement Tuesday morning.
