Seaford Police Chief Resigns
(SEAFORD, Del.) - The Chief of Police for the Seaford Police Department handed in his reservation Monday after less than a year on the job.
Chief. Robert Kracyla was sworn in on April 16th, 2018. He says that he is now moving on to a new opportunity to be closer to family. His last day will be March 1st, 2019. This resignation comes a day after longtime officer Michael Rapa was promoted to Deputy Chief.
Kracyla is a Former FBI Task Force officer and State Trooper, who served on Former Governor Markell's security team. Kracyla is a 35-year veteran of law enforcement. During his time with the Seaford Police Department, he oversaw the officer department as well as the 911 center.
