(HARRINGTON, Del.) - The Harrington Police Department have arrested a Dover man accused of harassing a senior late last month.

On Mar. 30 police arrested 30-year old Donald R. Caldwell of Dover, after police responded to a report of a harassment complaint.

Officers from the Harrington Police Department were contacted on Mar. 14 by the victim who reported to police that the victim was being harassed by Caldwell. Police determined after speaking to the victim, the victim's daughter had been in an earlier domestic dispute with Caldwell. Over the next couple of hours after the dispute, the victim began receiving numerous phone calls and text message from Caldwell. In those messages Caldwell threatened to do bodily harm to the victim.

Police searched the area but were unable to locate Caldwell, so police obtained a warrant charging him with Terroristic Threatening to a victim over 62 years of age and Harassment. Caldwell was taken into custody by Delaware State Police Troop 7 for the warrant out of Harrington PD and new charges from the incident in State Police Jurisdiction. Caldwell was arraigned and processed by DSP and was given a $500 secured bond on the Harrington charges. He was later committed to the Sussex Correctional Institute in default of bond.
