(Georgetown, Del) - A Lewes man who fled from police and crashed into another car, killing a retired Philadelphia police detective earlier this year has agreed to plea to avoid the possibility of life in prison.

27 year old Rashai Harmon was initially charged with 2nd degree murder and 2 counts each of 1st and 2nd degree vehicular assault and 2 counts of 2nd degree vehicular assault.

Tuesday Harmon pleaded guilty to manslaughter, reckless endangerment and disregarding a police signal.

Harmon could face four decades behind bars.

Charles Permint, who was killed in the crash.

Harmon will be sentenced on December 11.
