GEORGETOWN, Del - Eight Cub Scout packs consisting of children that are in grades 1-6 are participating in the Sussex County District of the Delmarva Council's Summer Day Camp. For this year's version, Jurassic Camp is the name with dinosaurs being the theme.
Learning about fossils joins archery, fishing, cooking, and compass navigation as activities. "Each year our theme kind of dictates what our programs areas are to some degree," Program Director Dennis Redington said. "We try to stay away from the stuff that normal packs will have in their program year so that we are not taking away from what they do."
The camp has been a regular Cub Scout event for over 40 years.  This year participants rotate daily through nine stations in a wooded area located behind Sussex Tech High School. The camp concludes Friday June 28.
