MILTON, Del.- Dozens of dogs are being airlifted to Sussex County, Del., as they head to Grass Roots Rescue looking for a forever home.

Sixty-eight dogs from high kill shelters from South Carolina and Georgia will be finding a new meaning to life on Delmarva. They will make the trip Saturday, Aug. 24. This is according to the company's Facebook page. 

Organizers say all of the dogs will be up to date on their vaccines.

Grass Roots Rescue is looking for sponsors to provide such items as pet beds and squeaky toys for the dogs. In addition, all of the dogs will be available for adoption. Click here for more information and an application.
