SALISBURY, Md.- A rising tide lifts all boats and in WBOC and Safford Automotive Group's most recent Rising Tide event lifted up Delmarva's students.

Safford vans were filled with backpacks, pencils, pens, erasers, binders and more--with all the school supplies going to students on Delmarva. The organizations Fresh Start and the Boys and Girls Clubs of Delaware will receive the donations and distribute them to students on the peninsula.

"On behalf of all the children that we serve in Sussex County and in Kent County and state wide, thank you," says Boys and Girls Clubs Regional Development Director Zaida Guajardo. "It's a true blessing to have folks come out and support the needs of our children."

Katie Maxwell with Safford says each Rising Tide event is a chance to give back, a value both the automotive group and Draper Media cherish.

"We both like to give back to the community and this is one of the best ways we can do that," she explains. "The school supply drive is one of my favorite ones because it helps a lot of local children. We can touch a lot of people really quickly and it's something that we know everybody needs."
