REHOBOTH BEACH, De-

People of Sussex County know and love Dogfish Head beer. But would you drive across the country for it? One couple from Colorado did.

Diane McCallum rode her bicycle from La Push, WA to Rehoboth Beach while her partner Bob Bavin drove beside her in their camper.

"We have a travel trailer so I drove our pickup and pulled the trailer so she would have a place for the bathroom, where we could have lunch, where she could change," said Bavin.

The couple loves craft breweries and bike riding, so they combined their passions in the form of the trip.

They made it to Rehoboth Beach Wednesday night and rushed to make it to the Atlantic Ocean.

But of all the sights they saw, both agree that their favorite part were the people.

"The people in this country are phenomenally nice, generous, kind, interesting people," said McCallum.

Diane rode an average of 60 miles a day. Her longest ride was 120 miles in one day while in Ohio.

Diane has one word of advice for people.

"Put the cellphone down get out and live. Experience what this great country has to offer. It's fabulous," said McCallum.
