Alex Seymore

Before joining the WRDE weather team, Alex Seymore was a member of the WBOC Storm Tracker Weather Team since October of 2017.

Alex grew up right here on the Delmarva Peninsula, graduating from Delmar High School in 2013. As a child, Alex was known throughout the town of Delmar for his passion in meteorology. He began his own weather forecasting page on Facebook during his freshman year of high school. Delmar Weather quickly grew to have a large following on the Delmarva Peninsula, and Alex became a well-known personality across Delmarva.

Alex went to the University of Delaware where he initially majored in environmental science, but switched majors to meteorology/climatology when UD started that program. In May 2017, Alex became part of the UD’s first graduating class of meteorologists. While at the University of Delaware, Alex worked with the Delaware State Climatologist to research the largest snowstorms that have impacted the Delmarva Peninsula.

Alex is a full member of the American Meteorological Society.

While Alex’s favorite activity is to study and forecast the weather, during his free time he enjoys spending time outdoors and watching his favorite sports teams, the Baltimore Orioles and the Baltimore Ravens.
