HOLIDAY DECORATING INITIATIVES

Homes and businesses in Lewes, Bethany Beach, and Ocean Pines are illuminated for the holiday decorating initiatives Lewes Lights, Coastal Christmas Showdown, and Light up the Pines. There are interactive maps that will take you on a tour to see every display.

The Lewes Lights map can be found at leweslights.org. Homes west of Route 1 are featured this year too. 

The deadline to register Ocean Pines homes is Friday, Dec. 8, but organizers say people can continue to sign up through the holiday season to have their homes included on the online map

MILTON HOLLY FESTIVAL AND HOLIDAY HOUSE TOUR

Have a Holly Jolly stroll through Milton this weekend. The Chamber of Commerce Holly Festival will bring more than 80 vendors to the Fire Department, H.O. Brittingham Elementary School, and the Milton Public Library from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday.

The Chamber says Santa has a new Holly Festival location at the Elementary School, and he will be available to view children’s wish lists and provide photo opportunities from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.  Free shuttle services will be offered with free parking at H. O. Brittingham Elementary School and Dogfish Head Brewery’s back left parking lot.

On the same day, the Women's Club of Milton will hold the annual Holiday House Tour. Tour historic and Holly Jolly homes from 2:30 to 6:30 p.m. Tickets can be purchased in advance for 25 dollars at the Mercantile in Milton, Salon Milton, and Lewes Gourmet. Tickets are 30 dollars on the day of the event and can be purchased at the Mercantile in Milton, Milton Historical Society, or at the Holly Festival.

BETHANY CHRISTMAS COTTAGES AND WEEKEND WONDERLAND

Enjoy Christmas at the Cottages in Bethany Beach on Saturday. There will be alpacas at the Nature Center, as well as caroling. The weekend wonderland continues with special business holiday incentives throughout the town, as well as trolley tours to see holiday displays.

SEAFORD MUSEUM EVENTS

One ongoing holiday tradition in Seaford is seeing trains at the Seaford Museum. A Victorian Christmas Children's Day is at the Seaford Museum from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday. Then on Sunday, it's the Victorian Christmas Concert with the Capital Ringers 12 Days of Christmas performance from 4:00 - 5:30 p.m. at the Ross Station Event Center. REHOBOTH ART LEAGUE HOLIDAY OPEN HOUSE

The 14th Rehoboth Art League Annual Holiday Open House offers fine art and fine crafts. Art League members will have holiday gift items on display and for sale. The Camp Rehoboth Chorus Ensemble and other live performers will provide music for the event throughout the day. The Open House runs from 10:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m. on Saturday.

BVSPCA MEGA-ADOPTION

Bring home a new furry family member for the holidays! All Brandywine Valley SPCA locations will be mega-ready for you to find your new pet. The Mega Adoption Event runs Saturday and Sunday with adoption fees lowered to 35 dollars.

OCEAN CITY COMIC CON

Take a break from the holiday hustle at the Ocean City Comic Con. There are gaming tournaments, anime screenings, cosplay contests, and more at the convention center on Saturday.

HOLIDAY BENEFIT CONCERT

The Lewes Historical Society Holiday has a benefit concert on Saturday at 6:00 p.m. at Groome Church. Click here to buy tickets.

WINTER CRAFT SHOW

The annual Sussex Consortium Winter Craft Show is at Cape Henlopen High School from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Sunday.

BRIDGEVILLE CHRISTMAS PARADE

The Christmas cheer continues with the parade in Bridgeville on Saturday night at 6. This year’s theme is “…And a partridge in a pear tree!". A rain date of December 10 is set if necessary. 

SANTA SIGHTINGS

You can have breakfast with Santa Saturday at the Auxiliary of Ocean City American Legion Post 166 from 8 to 10 a.m. Organizers say children 3 and under are free, tickets are 5 dollars for those 4 to 11, and 10 dollars for guests 12 and over.

Santa has returned to his Second Street house in Lewes and will be taking wishlists from 1 to 3 p.m. Saturday.
