(MILFORD, Del.) - On Tuesday, Feb. 16, the Milford Police arrested and charged a 22-year-old Milford woman stemming from an incident that occurred at the United Check Cashing business on Jan. 9, 2016.
Kadijah A. Brown was charged with Forgery 2nd Degree and Theft False Pretense Under $1,500.00. Investigation revealed that Brown was issued a check for payment by local government. Brown then reported that check as being lost or stolen and received a replacement check. Brown then took both checks into the business and cashed both.
It was later discovered that one of the checks was no longer valid for payment. Brown was arraigned and released on $2,500.00 unsecured bond.
