Clean Energy USA

LEWES, Del.- Wednesday, Clean Energy USA, a solar energy company, began installing solar panels on the campus of What is Your Voice. What is Your Voice is a Sussex County non-profit helping survivors of domestic, family, and teen-dating violence.

Clean Energy USA reached out to What is Your Voice, in hopes that the donation of solar panels will help take some of the burden of bills, off the non-profits shoulders.

"Solar is just one of those technologies that it's a set-it and forget it method. So we put these on the roof and she doesn't have to worry about it, there's no maintenance involved in it. All it does is it will reduce her energy bills because it's producing clean power from the sun," said Keith Modzelewski, with Clean Energy USA.

What is Your Voice estimates this will save about 4-thousand dollars a year, money that can now use to help more survivors. Just in 2021, What is Your Voice had 16-thousand texts through its 24/7 help-line.

"The year before it was 12. The year before that it was 9. So you can see the magnitude of women talking to us needing direction, provision, help," said Jacqueline Sterbach with What is Your Voice.

Clean energy USA hopes to continue making donations like this to local non-profits and organization. See here to contact the company to learn how you can apply.
