MILLSBORO, Del.- Multiple children are injured after a boating accident Thursday evening.
It happened between Gull Point and the NRG Energy Inc. Power Plant.
DNREC confirmed six kids were on two tubes getting pulled by a boat. The exact cause of the accident is still unknown.
The accident left three children injured. One of the children is in critical condition. They were flown to Nemours Alfred. I duPont Hosptial for Children. One of the children was taken to Beebe Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
Another boat in the area picked up the three children involved in the accident and took them to the dock at NRG’s power plant, where they were treated by paramedics and local fire companies.
Delaware Natural Resource Police are still investigating the incident.
