SALISBURY, Md. - The Wicomico County Sheriff's Office says it has arrested a 12-year-old for the murder of a two-year-old.
According to the office, detectives from the Wicomico County Child Advocacy Center responded and conducted the investigation of the death. Officials say detectives spoke to caregivers and described the circumstances of the murder. Police say this lead to the arrest of a 12-year-old living in the same home for the death of the younger child.
The office says that the 12-year-old was taken to the Lower Eastern Shore Children's Center, where his is currently being held. Officers say the boy was charged with the following:
- Murder 1st Degree
- Murder 2nd Degree
- Assault 1st Degree
- Assault 2nd Degree
- Reckless Endangerment
