Harrington Man Arrested for Debit Card Theft

(HARRINGTON, Del.) - A Harrington man was arrested Monday for using someone else's debit card.

The Harrington Police Department arrested 36-year old Jeremy J. Jensen of the 200 Block of Delaware Ave. in Harrington for unlawful use of a credit card Monday, Apr. 18.

In early April the Harrington Police Department was contacted by a social worker from Milford Memorial Hospital about a patient, the victim, who reported that an unknown suspect had been using the victim's debit card without permission.

Detectives from the Harrington Police Department began investigating and determined that Jensen, who was the boyfriend of the victim's daughter and was living with the victim, used the victim's debit card on 12 different occasions in March and April while the victim was admitted to the hospital. Police obtained a warrant for his arrest and took Jensen into custody at his residence Monday.

Jensen was transported to the Harrington Police Department for processing. He was charged with 12 counts of Unlawful Use of a Payment Card under $1,500. He was arraigned via video phone at Justice of the Peace Court 2 and was committed to the Sussex Correctional Institute in default of $12,000 Secured bond.
