New Surveillance Photos Link to O.C. Homicide

(OCEAN CITY, Md.)- Never-seen surveillance photos of the moments leading up to the Aug. 24th Ocean City homicide, which left a Pennsylvania man dead, have now been released.

The pictures show the suspects, Caleb Ochse, 27, of Ocean City, and Christopher Kendall, 22, of Ocean City, along with the victim walking in and out of the Fat Daddy's Restaurant where police say the fatal fight started.

Officials say Ochse and Kendall beat Justin Cancelliere, 37, of North Whitehall Township, to death and left him unconscious in a parking lot of the Plim Plaza Hotel. Officers responded around 3 a.m. to the area of 109 North Atlantic Ave., along the boardwalk, to assist Ocean City EMS for an assault victim, police said. Cancelliere was then taken to the hospital, where he later died.

As the two men face manslaughter, assault, affray and reckless endangerment charges, the Ochse family released a statement this week, saying the video shows Cancelliere and his friends were the aggressors and not Ochse and Kendall.

Both are scheduled to appear in court on Sept. 25 for a preliminary hearing in Ocean City District Court.
