Saltwater intrusion putting a strain on Delmarva farmers

Saltwater intrusion is becoming a growing problem around the world as the warming climate causes sea levels to rise. Here along the Delmarva Peninsula, sea levels are rising at some of the fastest rates compared to anywhere else in the world because of a combination of rising seas and sinking land. In Lewes, sea levels have risen over 10 inches since 1950.
