CK Douglas was a man of humble origin who was drafted into the Army Air corps in 1942. He was stationed in Hawaii during WWII and although seriously wounded, shot down the last Japanese Zero attacking their bomber, the Superman. As a result Louis Zamperini, A previous Olympian athlete was able to continue to the next mission where he was captured.
