The Appellate Court of Maryland reversed a previous judgement in the case surrounding the 2022 death of teenager Gavin Knupp, returning the charges to the Worcester County Circuit Court.

The City of Milford released a statement Wednesday afternoon regarding recent criticism of its use of eminent domain on property owned by resident Annette Billings. "They concluded they were obligated to proceed by the express wishes of the city residents to provide more recreation options," said the statement.

"There was no basis to remove the case," said District Court Judge Richard Andrews. An attempt by Cabela's to move an investigation into its hands-off shoplifting approach to federal court has been dismissed. The case centered around reports that 500,000 rounds of ammunition were stolen from the store's Newark location in less than a year. 

Ørsted's Skipjack Wind, a wind farm project in development off the coast of the Delmarva peninsula, has broken ties with the State of Maryland due to unviable renewable energy payments from the state. It is continuing project development and is repositioning for future opportunities, the company announced Thursday afternoon. 

According to the Delaware Division of Public Health, an individual who was not symptomatic but was infectious with measles at the time visited Nemours on Dec. 29. The division said anyone who visited the facility between 6 a.m. and noon could have potentially been exposed.

The license of massage technician Robert Leech of Lewes has been temporarily suspended following accusations that he engaged in unlawful and unwelcomed sexual conduct with clients.

Randon Wilkerson, the man convicted in the 2021 murder of Delmar Corporal Keith Heacook, was sentenced to two life sentences Friday morning in Sussex County Superior Court for two counts of first degree murder.

The old Rookery golf course in Milford has been given a face lift. The new Southern Delaware Golf Club is almost ready for big swings and tough putts. Director of Agronomy for the club, Bill Kupfer, says that a soft opening of the course will be on Dec. 9.

Wilkerson was found guilty on all charges, including first degree murder, assault and possession of deadly weapons in the trial for the 2021 killing of Delmar Corporal Keith Heacook. The court heard details of the assault, including Wilkerson's erratic behavior and drug use.
