After various community meetings and surveys, DNREC proposed user fees for Deauville Beach have been approved. A daily entrance fee or an annual pass will be required to use the beach from Memorial Day weekend though Nov. 30 in 2024. DNREC says Deauville Beach annual passes will be available for sale starting Wednesday, May 15.

A hotel years in the making is taking the next steps forward.

For the past few months, the Rehoboth Beach Library has been working on a project to expand to Route 24 and lease half of the current building.

Rick Degrassi is a devoted city employee in Rehoboth, known for his meticulous work on the city's boardwalk. Degrassi's primary task involves replacing the old wooden panels that make up the boardwalk. 

Buildings and Grounds Supervisor Chuck Snyder, celebrates his retirement after 34 years of service with the city.

According to the city, the ongoing phase, 3B, involves the construction of a new dewatering facility and the conversion of existing aerobic digesters to waste sludge holding tanks.

Pets might be able to get their paws sandy on summer vacation come next year.
