Legislation to name the Newark Regional Transportation Center in honor of United States Senator Thomas R. Carper was signed by Governor Carney.

U.S. Senator from Delaware Tom Carper, along with Senator from Maine Susan Collins, have introduced the Federal Firefighter Cancer Detection and Prevention Act of 2023, which is meant to protect firefighters for cancer.
