On Saturday, April 20th, the city of Seaford held its municipal election, attracting a total of 587 voters. 

Seaford is seeing a resurgence and now there is data from the U.S. Census Bureau to support that. According to a report released this month, Seaford had the largest U.S. micro area gain in population.

According to the city, the ongoing phase, 3B, involves the construction of a new dewatering facility and the conversion of existing aerobic digesters to waste sludge holding tanks.

A project to make upgrades to the Walnut Street Bridge that crosses over the Mispillion River will begin on Monday. The City of Milford said it hopes to better traffic infrastructure in the downtown area with this project.

Milford and Slaughter Beach are working together to connect the two communities more safely and easily. Currently, the two areas are separated by busy Route 1, and walking or riding a bike across the highway could be very dangerous.

The Town of Laurel Mayor and Council approved amendments to the curfew ordinance at their meeting on Dec. 18. 

The Vietnam veteran, John Jackson, lead the effort to make Milford a 'Purple Heart City'. A purple heart, an honor that goes to those who were hurt or killed serving in the military.

The City of Milford warned drivers about flooding on multiple city streets following a storm Wednesday morning. Some of the flooding is tidal, so waters will recede and surge again during additional rain expected Wednesday afternoon.

Deadlines for filing to run, registering to vote, and receiving an absentee ballot will be coming throughout the summer leading up to Rehoboth Beach's Aug. 12 election.

The outage is scheduled from 10 p.m. Wednesday until 6 a.m. Thursday and will allow crews to continue working on the replacement of the decaying State Road pump station.
